4 Civil Rights Act of 1871
Усиливал выполнение положений Четырнадцатой поправки [ Fourteenth Amendment], чему противодействовали "Ку-клукс-клан" [ Ku Klux Klan] и другие экстремистские и террористические организации. Закон также предусматривал ответственность служащих государственных учреждений за лишение человека конституционных прав и ответственность за нарушение таких прав, привилегий или неприкосновенности личности.
